This filter is inspired by the 'face-changing' art of Sichuan opera (变脸, bian lian). I designed the first mask based on a traditional mask often seen during 'bian lian' as a sign of respect for this art. The other two masks are inspired by my favorite childhood characters: the Monkey King and Kero (from Cardcaptor Sakura). I added background scenes corresponding to each mask to make the experience more immersive for the audience.
